Local Restaurants Auberge Carnish, spectacularly located restaurant overlooking Uig Sands. The excellent Chef mainly sources his ingredients from local produce.
Travel Car hire at Stornoway airport is available from Carhire Hebrides amongst others.
Newspapers The Stornoway Gazette is the island's local newspaper.
Tourist Information The Outer Hebrides Tourism site provides information on all the western isles including the Isle of Lewis.
Sports There are two golf courses on the island, in Stornoway is the Stornoway Golf Club and on the west coast of Harris at Scarista is the Harris Golf Club.
Boat Trips Take a trip out with Murray MacLeod from Seatrek or try Island Cruising on the MV Cuma. They are both located within a short 10 minute drive from the house and the visit to Pabbay Mor is highly recommended.
